Transportation Voucher Program Full As of July 3, the North Country Transportation Voucher Program is no longer able to accept new participants. If you are interested in the program and would like more information, you may still receive our introductory packet and have your name placed on our waiting list. Funding is limited. Placement on our waiting list does not guarantee that you will participate in this year’s program. If you would like more information or to get on our waiting list, call Transportation Coordinator Bob Olsgard at North Country Independent Living toll free: 800-924-1220 V/TTY, Extension 20 or email: ncilbob@superior-nfp.org. Fully accessible bus service is now available to the general public in the Spooner-Shell Lake area. The service runs Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM until 3:30 PM. Fares are $1.00 for adults and $0.50 for people with disabilities, seniors and children 5-12. In addition to regular stops at popular destinations, riders may also schedule door-to-door service if needed. To schedule a special stop, riders should call Namekagon Transit at 866-295-9599 the day before their trip. The bus will provide door to door service to any location inside the city limits of Shell Lake or Spooner. Bus schedules are available at the senior centers in Shell Lake and Spooner.
